Sclerotherapy for Removing Dark Eye Circles

Sclerotherapy is an injection treatment which is most commonly associated with diminishing the appearance of varicose veins and spider veins. However, sclerotherapy also has another use which may be of interest to patients who are concerned with their overall appearance. Sclerotherapy can be used to get rid of dark circles under the eyes.

Often, those dark circles are caused by an enlarging of the veins around the eyes. In comparison with vein treatment in the legs, sclerotherapy for the eyes is an amazingly quick procedure. Whereas the standard vein treatment takes anywhere from 30 - 60 minutes, the treatment for dark circles is just a five minute procedure. The success of the treatment varies depending on the patient and the exact cause of the dark circles so you should obviously work with a qualified professional when considering sclerotherapy for this (or any) purpose.

Dark circles under the eyes and varicose veins anywhere on the body have a key point in common. They cause individuals to look older than they actually are. Most people are highly interested in anti-aging methods and facial rejuvenation. Sclerotherapy is just one option to be considered for both vein treatment and undereye circles.
