The San Francisco Chronicle recently did an interview with Beth Lisick. The woman has gotten attention recently because she's promoting her second book but she's been involved in all sorts of different creative ventures over the years. The basis for each of these has been comedy.
One of the experiences she cites as being her favorite was a film that she did in which she and a friend (both in their late thirties) are walking around a hot springs completely naked. She's not sure that others will find it funny but says that the ridiculousness of being in wigs and glasses while exposing spider veins and varicose veins to the world is enough to make her laugh.
Of course, there are things that she could do to get rid of those varicose veins. For example, she could get VNUS Closure Fast which is done so quickly she could get back up on stage soon after the procedure. But that wouldn't be so funny because then she'd just be looking normal again.
Question of the Day: Are varicose veins a source of humor?
