Double Whammy

Science Daily is reporting today that a double whammy approach (combined approach) to preventing venous disease may be the key to stifling it’s progress into other more serious problems. By coupling daily leg compressions with medications varicose vein sufferers can limit their chances of developing Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT). DVT is a medical issue that has potential to lead to death or serious injury for high-risk patients. Researchers are calling this the “belt and braces” strategy a break-through.

While this is only preliminary evidence, the researchers have faith that this may be a viable stepping-stone for further experimenting. There are a number of other treatments for venous disease, DVT and varicose veins; many of which are invasive surgeries and others with lasers and ultra sounds. So it is vital that you look into all of your options before choosing one. If you want more information go veindirectory.org.
