VenaCure

The Vein Institute of Pittsburgh is beginning to use a new treatment for venous disease and varicose veins. The procedure is minimally invasive and is called VenaCure Laser Venous System. A small laser fiber is inserted into the vein where the laser then energizes the fiber and closes the vein. In doing so, the body then begins to transfer the blood flow into other healthy veins in order to let the treated vein heal properly.

Patients are lining up in droves with hopes of ridding their legs of unattractive and unsightly varicose veins. The institute has said the treatment is quick, nearly painless and effective. Another advantage of VenaCure mentioned is it's beneficial for men and women busy working; they can come in during the work week and get the procedure done and go to work that day or the next without any problems. Doctors are hoping this treatment will become the field's dominant form of laser vein removal.
