Steps to Stop Venous Disease
The National Alliance for Thrombosis and Thrombophilia (NATT) has joined the Venous Disease Coalition (VDC) with hopes of unifying together and combating venous disease. The VDC is an allegiance of health professionals comprised of patient advocacy groups who seek to improve survival rates, prevention and treatments for varicose veins, spider veins and deep vein thrombosis. The Venous Disease Foundation who started the VDC is a public health organization that outlines risk factors and prevention methods for Americans struggling with any form of venous disease.
Varicose veins and venous disease are some of the most prevalent health problems Americans face today, but learning the symptoms, treatments and procedures available may aid in impeding the progression or outright preventing it. This new coalition of the NATT and VDC has set out on a mission to relay the message about blood clots and venous disease to the public, with hopes that people will seek out treatment promptly and prevent further damage or complications.
