Varicose Vein Removal Market to Boost
|
The US market for varicose and spider vein removal is likely to get a massive boost by 2013. The projected numbers are set at around $215 million rise from where they are today. The report says that the tools and devices used over the past few years have gone through some turmoil, but now that there are only a few viable options on the market they are likely to take over and vastly expand their company and technologies.
Fox Business reported, "Because of these price increases, many physicians will take on more patients for varicose vein treatments in order to maximize device return-on-investment. These conditions, combined with the growing patient awareness of minimally invasive treatment alternatives to varicose vein surgery, will fuel significant growth in the endovenous ablation market over the next several years."
This would hopefully raise awareness and make treating varicose veins and venous disease readily available and much more widespread and affordable for patients.

Brian Robison Healed Quickly After Varicose Vein Treatment
|
One of the latest pieces of celebrity varicose vein news has been that football player Brian Robison was out of commission for a short period of time after treatment for a varicose vein problem that had become physical painful and indicative of underlying health concerns. The new news is that the varicose vein treatment was successful and that Robison has been able to return to playing with the team after just a short period of recovery time.
This is not just something that would be true of varicose vein treatment for a celebrity. The methods that are used to treat varicose veins are efficient and are designed to allow the patient to undergo only a short recovery period before returning to their normal activities. Patients who get varicose vein treatment for cosmetic reasons have a particularly short recovery time that rarely hinders their daily lives in any way at all.
Robison's case was more serious because of the fact that he had a medical condition related to the varicose veins. It was also important that he be extra-careful about not returning to his activities too early since his activities are strenuous athletic activities and also because he wouldn't want to require additional recovery time due to a too-early return. Nevertheless, very little time had to pass before Robison could return to the game.
Question of the Day: How long would you expect medical varicose vein surgery to require for recovery?
