We specialize in all aspects of vascular and venous disease and are able to perform a variety of diagnostic and minimally invasive procedures designed to identify and treat vascular problems such as varicose veins, spider veins and others.
For varicose veins and spider veins we offer the full spectrum of care from consultation to ultrasound diagnosis to treatment, including radiofrequency therapy for varicose veins and injection sclerotherapy for spider veins.
Services Offered
Endovenous Radiofreqency Ablation
Endovenous radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is a minimally invasive procedure that involves inserting of a thin, flexible catheter into a refluxing (backwards-flowing vein) and using thermal energy to seal it shut. As a result, blood flow is then re-routed into normal, healthy veins. Over time, the newly treated vein diminishes, and the body then reabsorbs it. Endovenous ablation results is less painful and has a much shorter recovery time compared to traditional vein stripping and ligation.
Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy involves using a small needle to inject the veins with a medication, known as a sclerosant, that irritates the lining of the blood vessel. Like The vein closes and is reabsorbed by the body. Like RFA treatments, the blood from the now closed vein detours to nearby functioning veins. This restores circulation and improves overall appearance.
Microphlebectomy
Microphlebectomy is a minimally invasive medical prodcedure that is used to eliminate unsightly and painful leg veins. Doctors generally recommend this for large surface varicose veins. Removal of these bulging, painful veins with microphlebectomy results in rapid healing, reduced pain, and a cosmetic improvement. Microphlebectomy is far less invasive than surgical stripping, as it is perfromed with tiny incisions on the skin. Since it is an outpatient procedure, recovery time is much shorter and most patients can return to their daily routines.
Additional services offered include:- Aesthetic facial injections, including Botox and dermal fillers (ex., Juvederm).
- Minimally invasive procedures for the treatment of venous blockages
- Peripheral vascular disease including, angioplasty and stent placement,
- Uterine fibroid embolization
- Dialysis.
