At the Vein & Vascular Institute of Tampa Bay, you will receive compassionate, personalized care from our staff using state-of-the-art treatmemt methods. We are able to offer innovative therapies with comprehensive in house diagnosis and treatment of vein disorders. Our practice is equipped with high-end ultrasonic equipment for diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, and encompasses all aspects of diagnosis and treatment of arterial, venous, and lymphatic diseases. 

Treatment ranges from advice to medication, and when needed - all aspects of vascular and endovascular surgery. We are located in Tampa, in close proximity to St. Joseph’s Hospital and University Community Hospital.

We are on staff at St Josephs Hospital, St Josephs Hospital North, St Josephs Hospital South, Northbay Hospital, Trinity Hospital, Oakhill Hospital, and Bayonet Point.

Thomas M. Kerr, MD

Dr. Kerr is a board certified vascular surgeon. He attained his board certification in General Surgery, and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He also earned a certificate of added qualification in Surgical Critical Care Medicine, thus making him one of only a very few local surgeons who has attained board certification in three fields at once - demonstrating his commitment to advanced training.

After completing his undergraduate studies at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine, Dr. Kerr then completed his internship and general surgery residency at Temple University Hospital. Dr. Kerr was one of the Kachelmacher Memorial Research Fellows, and studied under John J. Cranley, MD. He was involved in multiple speeches, awards and publications involving vascular topics. He completed another fellowship in vascular surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, and advanced his training abroad with a traveling fellowship from the the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery. This gave him the opportunity to travel to Europe to further his training with world known vascular surgeons.

Kenneth J. Wright, MD

Dr. Ken J. Wright attended Ohio State University and earned a degree in Exercise Science with honors. During his time as an undergraduate, Dr. Wright researched cranial-based tumors at Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital, and was elected as President of Buckeye Advocates for Student Health. Yet somehow, he also managed to spare time a a manager for the Ohio State football team.

Dr. Wright also graduated from Ohio State University College of Medicine, and went on to train in general surgery at SUNY Buffalo. During his time in Buffalo, Dr. Wright participated in vascular surgery research. Dr. Wright returned to Ohio State University to complete a fellowship at the Ross Heart Hospital.

Michael C. Goldbach, MD 

Dr. Goldbach earned his medical degree from The University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 2010 and completed his general surgery residency at Orlando Regional Medical Center in 2015.

Dr. Goldbach then moved to Memphis, TN where he completed a two-year vascular surgery fellowship at The University of Tennessee.

Under the tutelage of vascular surgeon, H. E Garrett Jr., Dr. Goldbach was highly trained in and exposed to both complex open vascular surgery and endovascular surgery procedures, including the use of investigational devices.

Training with Dr. Garrett, as well as the high volume of vascular surgery procedures he performed, has made Dr. Goldbach a highly skilled, competent and independent top vascular surgeon.

Dr. Goldbach has research papers that have been approved for publication and has presented his work at conferences around the Country.

He is very excited to be a part of The Vein and Vascular Institute, the largest group of board certified vascular surgeons in the State of Florida.

Jeff Mathew, MD.

Tampa vascular specialist Dr. Jeff Mathew is a vascular surgeon with expertise in aortic reconstruction, venous disease treatment, hemodialysis access (av fistula surgery), carotid artery surgery, peripheral artery disease treatment, varicose vein treatment as well as all other vascular and endovascular surgery.

Tampa vascular surgeon Jeff Mathew treats vein and vascular disorders using the most advanced, non-invasive endovascular surgery methods available anywhere, provided on an outpatient basis so his patients can quickly enjoy great vascular health with minimal to no scars in the treatment areas. He has vast experience in the vascular surgery field and has intense training in vascular and endovascular surgery.

Dr. Mathew also performs open vascular surgery and has active hospital staff privileges to perform vascular surgery on patients in the hospital setting if necessary.

Marlene D. Valentin, MD

Vascular specialist in Tampa Bay, Florida, Marlene D. Valentin, MD, is a fellowship-trained vascular surgeon with certification in advanced life support and critical care medicine. Dr. Valentin has implemented over 1,300 techniques in vascular, laparoscopic, plastic, transplant, thoracic, general surgery and critical care areas. Dr. Valentin completed her undergraduate studies at the College of Mount St. Vincent, in Riverdale, New York, and earned her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey. She served her internship and her residency at Morristown (NJ) Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Valentin was educated in vascular surgery by the fellows at Good Samaritan Hospital (Cincinnati) under the guidance of Dr. Richard Welling. She also accomplished an endovascular super-fellowship through Southern Illinois University, training in cerebral and peripheral endovascular techniques. With such vast experience in surgery, Dr. Valentin’s the doctor to go to if you have vein problems and if you want your vascular surgery performed correctly.

Vascular surgeon Dr. Valentin has treated thousands of patients in the Tampa Bay area suffering from all types of vascular diseases achieving amazing results for her patients and helping them to enjoy good vascular health.

Dr. Valentin is a fellowship-trained vascular surgeon with certification in advanced life support and critical care medicine. Dr. Valentin has performed over 1,300 procedures in vascular, laparoscopic, plastic, transplant, thoracic, general surgery and critical care areas.

Brandt Jones, DO RPVI

Tampa vein doctor, Dr. Brandt Jones, DO RPVI is a board certified vascular surgeon with vast experience in treating acute and chronic venous diseases using non-invasive surgical methods such as laser vein ablation.

Dr. Jones is passionate about conducting research about vascular diseases and has been doing so for the past five years. In addition, he is a firm believer in applying a multi-disciplinary approach when it comes to limb salvage in patients suffering from dangerously restricted blood circulation in the arms and legs.

In addition to being part of the team of vascular surgeons here at The Vein & Vascular Institute of Tampa Bay, Dr. Jones is also the Medical Director of the Vascular Surgery Team at the Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point and provides vascular surgery at Spring Hill Hospital and Northbay Hospital in New Port Richey.

Adithya Suresh, MD RPVI

Vein Surgeon Tampa – Dr. Suresh has performed hundreds of vascular treatment procedures achieving amazing results for all his patients. Dr. Suresh specializes in aortic aneurysm repair, carotid artery disease treatment, peripheral arterial disease treatment, venous insufficiency treatment, varicose vein removal and limb salvage treatment.
