At Utah Vein Specialists we are committed to understanding every patient’s unique medical situation in order to offer the best treatment plan possible.  We are equipped with a professional, knowledgeable staff eager to ensure your comfort and confidence at every visit and to educate you on every step of your treatment plan.  We have experience in everything from the most established traditional vein treatments such as vein surgery to the very newest state-of-the-art approaches such as VNUS ClosureFAST and EVLT. 

Utah Vein Specialists operate a clean and comfortable office environment offering the latest technology and equipment for the treatment of vein disease.  We off free screenings for vein problems and most insurance plans are accepted, including Select Health/IHC (Intermountain Health Care).  
 

Physician Profile


Peter E. Jensen, MD, FACS, RVT

Dr. Jensen is a Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgeon who specializes in the treatment of common vein disorders, specifically those of the lower extremities. Dr. Jensen graduated with Honors from Harvard College in 1986. He then attended the University of Utah School of Medicine, from which he graduated in 1990. He performed surgical training at Dartmouth, Stanford, and the University of Vermont, and served as a fellow in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at Northwestern University in Chicago until 2001.

Dr. Jensen is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, and the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), and a member of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the American College of Phlebology. Dr. Jensen has also been awarded the credentials Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) and Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
