At The Vein and Vascular Specialists of Atlanta, Dr. Sullivan specializes in all aspects of arteriovenous malformations, varicose vein evaluation and management including spider veins, varicose veins and associated ulcerations. Varicose veins are abnormally dilated veins that sometimes protrude on the skin surface. They occur in both men and women. Spider veins are smaller versions of varicose veins that can be found anywhere along the leg including ankles and around the knees. If not treated properly, the symptoms of venous insufficiency can progress to skin changes that appear as darkening, skin thickening, ulceration, and bleeding.
Dr Sullivan treats patients with varicose veins using the most pain free, up -to- date treatment methods. Full consultation includes a dedicated ultrasound exam, and treatment options include laser ablation, sclerotherapy, and/or miniphlebectomy. Patients can expect to return to work immediately, and many patients often do not require pain medications.
We are dedicated to your specific needs and the treatment of your varicose, spider veins and any vascular malformations. Dr Sullivan's new office is fully equipped with an operating room containing modern X-ray and ultrasound equipment, endovascular laser and numerous endovascular tools. The staff includes highly trained registered nurses who have worked or still work in emergency rooms or intensive care units in surrounding hospitals. Patients can call our office to receive a full consultation or free varicose vein screening today.
