Thomas B. Strawn, M.D.
A native of Shelbyville, Indiana, Dr. Thomas Strawn graduated from Butler University and Indiana University School of Medicine, both in Indianapolis. Following a surgical internship at Indiana University Hospitals, he served three years in the U.S. Navy. Dr. Strawn completed a general surgery residency in Louisville, Kentucky and then practiced surgery nineteen years in Indiana, one year at the Navajo Indian Hospital in Shiprock, New Mexico and five years in the NW Valley of Arizona. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery and a Diplomate of the American Board of Phlebology. Dr. Strawn has traveled to Palenque, Mexico twice in the last two years to perform surgery on the indigenous natives of the Chol Tribe. Dr. Strawn’s proudest educational accomplishment occurred this year when he finished his Master’s degree in Religion Pastoral Counseling.
