When you visit us for the first time, you will be sure that you have arrived at a clinic that is specifically set-up and specialized in treatment of different vein problems.
Vein Specialty Medical Clinic is a full-service Phlebology Clinic equipped with State-Of-The-Art equipment. Each one of the 3 treatment room is equipped with full power adjustable multi-position exam table and color ultrasound. We are proud to be the first clinic in Northern California to offer the newest laser technology (Biolitec’s Radial Laser 1470nm ELVeS ) for laser ablation of large varicose veins which is a major breakthrough in laser ablation allowing the patient to resume sports activity on the same day of treatment.
One important distinguishing fact is that at our facility the treating physician is the sonographer too, which mean patients are assured of having a more thorough and detailed ultrasound mapping of sources of reflux, which is essential to achieve better results in treatment of varicose veins. We are also equipped with vein visualization using polarized light source for better viewing and treatment of fine structured small spider veins and feeder veins.
We are located in a modern stand alone building with ample parking in Campbell, California. Close to Highways 85, 17, 280 and San Tomas Expressway.
Dr. Khalil Fattahi is Board Certified by The American Board of Phlebology and The American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Fattahi is also a Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RPhS) with 20 years of experience in treatment of both unsightly and problematic varicose and spider veins. Dr. Fattahi is the inventor of the new Foam-Washout Sclerotherapy which is now being used by many vein specialists around the world. Dr Fattahi's new Foam-Washout treatment is geared toward making the popular foam sclerotherapy a lot more safe and trouble free. A sample of application of this technique can be viewed on Youtube under "Foam Washout". Dr. Fattahi Presented his Patent Pending treatment method at Sclerotherapy conference in Bologna Italy and at the American College of Phlebology Conference in Florida in 2010. Dr. Fattahi also presented the significance of vulvar and para-perineal varicosities as origin of leg varicose veins for the first time in the world in 2001 at ACP conference. Since 1991, Dr. Fattahi has performed in excess of 80,000 sclerotherapy sessions, and he believes that there is always something to learn from each case. Dr. Fattahi believes that human vein system is very complex and phlebology deserves to be a specialty field in medicine. Dr. Fattahi notes that the reason behind many physician's failure to correctly treat complex vein problems, stems from their partial understanding and partial training and experience in this field. Unwanted veins are not like pencil marks on piece of paper to be erased with a simple eraser approach or attitude. Only a fulltime phlebologist (vein specialist) with a love and passion for perfection can hope to produce better results. Unfortunately, most vascular surgeons are not necessarily great vein doctors, because most of their training and work experience focuses on treatment of arterial diseases, not veins.
