Dr. Goldstein became aware of the dramatic improvement in the diagnosis and treatment on venous disease in the past few years and opened Pacific Vein Centers in late 2004 in response to this need for a dedicated Venous Disease facility.
Dr. Goldstein is a Board-Certified General Surgeon, and a Member of the American College of Phlebology. He has been in practice since 1977, in the Long Beach area. He is a past "Chief of Staff" and "Chairman of the Department of Surgery" of a major local Hospital. He is a "Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery" at UCLA, and has published and presented many scientific papers at a variety of medical conferences.
Dr. Goldstein was born in Montreal Canada and graduated from McGill University faculty of Medicine in 1968. Following his surgical residency at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Dr. Goldstein did a Fellowship in the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at UCLA in 1974.
In 1975 he was appointed to the Director of Surgical Training at St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach and an Associate Professorship at UCLA.
Dr. Goldstein was the Chief of the Medical Staff at St. Mary’s from 1989-1992 and is a member of many Medical Societies including :
