Dr. Sam Alaiti is the medical director of Miracle Mile Vein Center, an AAAHC accredited facility. He completed a full postgraduate training in Internal Medicine, Dermatology, and Dermatologic Clinical Research at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1998. Dr. Alaiti then became certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He then relocated to Los Angeles, where he has been practicing dermatology and phlebology since then. Dr. Alaiti is a clinical assistant professor at the University of California Los Angeles, and the University of Southern California Departments of Dermatology. He is an attending physician and consultant at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Alaiti is an active surveyor with the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, a national organization that accredits outpatient surgical facilities. Dr. Alaiti is a state appointed Qualified Medical Evaluator, and an Agreed Medical Evaluator. He is a medical reviewer for the Medical Board of California, where he renders an expert opinion about the quality and the standards of care.
Dr. Alaiti has been awarded several prestigious professional awards including the University of Southern California, School of Medicine Certificate of Appreciation for Teaching in Medical Dermatology, the American Medical Association physician's Recognition Award in Continuing Medical Education with Commendation for self directed learning, and “America’s Top Dermatologists” by the Consumers’ Research Council of America.
Dr. Alaiti is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He is a member of the American College of Phlebology, American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery, American Society for Mohs Surgery, and the American Society of Liposuction Surgery. Dr. Alaiti is the author of many scientific articles, abstracts, and book chapters on a wide variety of dermatologic and cosmetic topics. He was an invited lecturer and has presented many scientific papers in national and international medical meetings.
Dr. Alaiti approaches treatment of venous conditions in a scientific and systematic fashion. His philosophy in the management and care of varicose veins involves the principles of prevention, early detection, and the use of the best available scientific and effective approaches to treatment. Dr. Alaiti utilizes minimally invasive procedures to manage the affected veins, with minimal downtime.
