Dr. White is a prominent vascular surgeon in Marin County with over 30 years of experience. A leader in his field, he was one of the first vascular specialists to successfully treat varicose veins with lasers. Dr. White has been a driving force for improved medical care in his community and has held several leadership positions working to this end. He was Chief Of Staff at the Novato Community Hospital (NCH), a Sutter Health facility, for 17 years. He was Chairman of the Quality Assurance Committee at NCH. He served as Medical Director of NCH for 7 years. In recognition of Dr. White’s commitment to excellence, the Marin Medical Society named him “Physician of the Year”.
Dr. White is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Diplomat of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. White earned his medical credentials at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago and he completed his general and vascular surgery residency at UCLA, in Los Angeles. He is an alumnus of Williams College in Massachusetts.

Veinablation™ is a groundbreaking and highly effective laser treatment developed personally by Dr. Palmer White. This unique procedure uses a combination of lasers and injection in a distinctive technique to achieve the elimination of varicose veins with minimal pain and NO DOWN TIME.
All veins (ropy and spider) are treated in one session. Our patients typically experience unprecedented success rates with 99% to 100% of ropy varicose veins collapsing prior to patients leaving our office and with up to 80% resolution of spider veins. In 90% of cases where people have been told that they need painful and highly invasive vein stripping surgery or Endovenous or VNUS Closure procedure, Dr. White can achieve his exceptional results with Veinablation™, thus saving the patient time, money, risk and unnecessary discomfort.
In fact, we believe Veinablation™ is more effective than other common laser treatments because in over 50% of Endovenous and VNUS Closure procedures, ropy veins don’t completely collapse, therefore requiring additional surgical stripping or other vein treatments at a later date. Endovenous and VNUS Closure techniques are only medically indicated and necessary if the saphenous veins are “incompetent” and Dr. White has seen many patients seeking second opinions who have been told in error that they are in need of these treatments, when their saphenous veins were indeed competent.
Fotofacial™ + Plus, is an Intense Pulsed Light treatment of the face, neck and chest used for those suffering from extreme redness associated with rosacea, a vascular disease of the face, sun damaged skin, broken blood vessels, brown pigment, and large pores. It consists of 5 treatments, spaced 3 weeks apart, lasting approximately 1 hour. We also include a diode laser treatment when necessary to improve outcomes and treat the hands for brown pigment, both at no extra cost. Routinely, we get 80% clearance of redness, broken blood vessels and brown age spots. In most cases, our outcomes result in skin quality that allows our patients to opt to discontinue use of foundation makeup.
