Our vein and laser practice includes three Board-Certified vascular specialists (MDs) who have dedicated Fellowship Training in the treatment of vein disorders. You will always be seen and treated by a physician one-on-one. Our physicians are trained in the latest state-of-the-art minimally invasive techniques, including laser therapy (EVLT). We treat spider veins, varicose veins, venous reflux, venous stasis ulcers, skin disorders secondary to poor circulation, and all other vascular conditions. We are one of the only vein clinics in the southern Colorado region that have surgeons who have received specialty Fellowship Training in the newest LASER therapies. Our vein clinic is supported by certified ultrasound technicians and surgical nurses. We offer our procedures in both the outpatient clinic setting as well as in the operating room. Dr. Gotvald graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB). He completed medical school at UAB under scholarship and then went on to do his surgical training at the Texas Medical Center and St. Joseph Hospital in Houston, TX. He completed clinical clerkships in Surgical Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Following this, he obtained additional training in blood vessel surgery through a Vascular Fellowship at Baylor Medical Center and Baylor Heart and Vascular Hospital in Dallas, Texas. This certifies him as a "Vascular Specialist," meaning he is an expert in the treatment of all forms of vein and blood vessel diseases and conditions. It is there that he obtained extensive experience and expertise in the treatment of all forms of vein and vascular conditions, including training in the newest minimally invasive vein techniques and laser therapies. Aditionally, Dr. Gotvald is certified nationally as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (R.P.V.I). This means that he has extensive experience in interpreting vascular X-ray studies and ultrasounds and has passed a rigorous credentialing process in blood vessel testing. On a daily basis he interprets ultrasound studies for our nationally accredited vascular and ultrasound laboratory. Dr. Gotvald also served 13 years in the US Air Force where he served as an officer (Major) and a General & Trauma Surgeon. He is currently Board-Certified in Vascular Surgery and is a respected member of the Society of Vascular Surgery, the American Board of Surgery, the American Medical Association, and the Colorado Medical Society.
Dr. Chambers graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas A&M. He completed medical school and his surgery residency at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas Texas. His additional fellowship training in Vascular Surgery was completed at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas, TX. It was there that he obtained his training expertise in performing vein procedures. He is Board-Certified and has been practicing surgery in Colorado Springs for almost 20 years. He is a very respected member of the local medical community and has been the Chief of Surgery at Penrose Hospital. Dr. Chambers has received the prestigious honor of being voted the "Top Doctor" in his field of Vascular Surgery as published in the Colorado Springs Business Journal. He has also served as the Chief of Surgery for the local Penrose St.-Francis Hospitals, the hospital system that has been ranked in the top 1% in the nation this year (one of the top 50 hospitals in the nation).
Dr. Fry performed his medical school at Southwestern in Dallas,Texas. He went on to complete his Surgery Residency and Vascular Surgery Fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, TX. This is where he learned his specialty skills in the treatment of venous conditions and varicose veins. He is one of the select few surgeons in Colorado that has Board-Certification in THREE surgical specialties: General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Trauma & Surgical Critical Care. He also has the prestigious recognition of being certified as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) and a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS). He is a well respected instructor of national ultrasound courses. One of his passions is the treatment of vascular and vein disorders. He is very innovative and has multiple patents on medical devices.
