For more than two decades, Vein Clinics of America (VCA) has specialized in all types of varicose vein disease, from spider veins to large ropey varicose veins to leg ulcers. VCA's comprehensive non-surgical approach includes the latest in endovenous laser treatment (ELT) and the COMPASS [TM] technique of ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy.
Dr. Jeffery Schoonover graduated from Michigan Technological University and received his medical degree from the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He was chief resident for the Family Physicians Association at Flower Hospital and is Board-Certified in family practice. Prior to joining Vein Clinics of America (VCA), he practiced family medicine in Yorktown, Ind. Dr. Schoonover also spent four years in the United States Air Force, where he achieved the rank of Major and was able to participate in a humanitarian mission to El Salvador. Unique to the treatment of varicose veins, VCA utilizes state-of-the-art endovenous laser technology along with the non-surgical, minimally invasive COMPASS [TM] technique of ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy. This allows VCA to meet the specific needs of each individual patient by providing comprehensive treatment from the largest varicose vein to the smallest spider vein. The procedures are performed on an outpatient basis, so patients can resume most activities shortly after treatment.
