SCLEROTHERAPY
A sclerosing agent is injected into the abnormal vein and acts as an irritant to seal the vein closed.
DUPLEX GUIDED FOAM SCLEROTHERAPY
Ultrasound guidance used to close large abnormal veins that are not visible on the skin. A foam solution is used instead of the traditional liquid Sclerosing agent to have a greater effect on larger veins.
VASCULIGHT-PHOTODERM THERAPY
Varying wavelengths of light energy are used to treat and destroy small abnormal visible Spider and reticular veins on all parts of the body.
ENDOVENOUS LASER TREATMENT (EVLT)
The latest technology in laser treatment of large bulging varicose veins arising from the defective Saphenous veins. The previously performed ligation and stripping of the Greater Saphenous Veins is now replaced by this in office procedure. A thin laser fiber is inserted through a tiny entry point near the knee into the faulty vein and laser energy is used to close the vein. Graduated compression stockings are worn for 1 week. There is little or no restriction in activity following this treatment. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia no longer requiring hospitalization and long recovery.
VENOUS DOPPLER ULTRASOUND AND DUPLEX SCANNING
The most thorough and complete technology to measure and evaluate varicose vein abnormalities. This is essential for proper evaluation and treatment of various veins. This diagnostic testing is performed by a physician to thoroughly map out and define the source of the damaged veins.
