Endovenous Laser Therapy
Approximately half of the population has some form of venous disease. Varicose veins affect 20-25% of all adults. However, with endovenous laser therapy, no surgery is needed, and works by delivering laser energy through a small puncture in the leg to close the diseased vein. The entire procedure is often performed in less than an hour in our office.
During the procedure, you are awake, and your leg is numbed using Novacaine. A thin laser fiber is inserted into the greater saphenous vein in your thigh. Our physician will deliver laser energy through the fiber and into the vein, causing the vein to close. Blood is routed through healthy veins.
Laser Vein Treatment / Sclerotherapy
Today lasers are safely used for a wide variety of cosmetic non-invasive treatments. Laser therapy treatment is extremely safe and effective on leg veins, as well as veins visible on the face, neck, and chest – just about anywhere! Typically Laser Vein treatment is combined with Sclerotherapy for maximum results.
Sclerotherapy / Laser Vein Treatment
Pregnancy, prolonged standing, and heredity are the primary causes of unsightly and often painful varicose and spider veins. As we age, more visible leg veins frequently emerge and our existing veins become increasingly noticeable. Spider veins most commonly show up on the legs but can also appear on the face. There is a simple solution to this problem. A sclerosing solution – and a cosmetic procedure called Sclerotherapy. Typically Sclerotherapy is combined with Laser Vein Treatment for maximum results.
