Are you embarrassed or ashamed of your varicose veins? Ashamed of veins that look like huge, bluish, squiggly, squishy worms beneath your skins surface. Did you know that age and heredity are both factors that contribute to your having varicose veins as well as being overweight or pregnant. But don't fret over these unsightly structures in our modern world of technology you can laser those veins and presto, like magic they will be gone.

Laser Vein Treatment Procedure

For this procedure, the area of the leg that is affected will be anesthetized with a local anesthetic. Then, your surgeon will take a slender laser fiber that will be inserted through tiny incisions into the damaged vein delivering laser energy in short pulses.

These laser pulses will close off the vein preventing any future blood flow. Your body will automatically choose other healthy veins to send blood back to the heart. Once this has been accomplished, the fiber-optic probe will be removed.

There is minimal discomfort during the procedure and you should be able to resume your normal activity the next day.

Once the fiber-optic tube has been removed, a compression hose will be placed on your leg and must be worn for at least 1 week. Compression hose can also assist in the long-term success of all vein treatments.

After your procedure you may experience some minor bruising and soreness that can last from 7-10 days. You can take over-the-counter non-aspirin oral pain relievers if needed.

You should see immediate results without the complications associated with surgery.

Laser varicose vein treatment should take care of your unsightly veins although complimentary therapy may be required in some instances. Most spider veins will be addressed in a follow-up visit.

There are numerous cosmetic surgeons in the your area who are innovative in their laser vein treatment procedures. If you are experiencing problems with spider and varicose veins you can find a vein treatment center in your area now.
