These laser pulses will close off the vein preventing any future blood flow. Your body will automatically choose other healthy veins to send blood back to the heart. Once this has been accomplished, the fiber-optic probe will be removed.

There is minimal discomfort during the procedure and you should be able to resume your normal activity the next day.

Once the fiber-optic tube has been removed, a compression stocking will be placed on your leg and must be worn for at least 1 week. It is advised that you walk as soon as your procedure is completed. Normal activity can be resumed within 24 hours; however, strenuous activity or working out in a gym should be avoided.

While current treatments for varicose veins and spider veins are extremely successful. However, it's possible that varicose veins can return.
