Sixth Annual Venous Symposium 2015 Update - The Most Attended Ever

Three action packed days attended by over 450 registrants representing 40 states and 30 countries, along with a comprehensive exhibit hall of 39 exhibiting organizations; the Sixth Annual Venous Symposium (VS) was the most attended one yet. Attendees echoed the feeling that it is the must attend venous education program of the year for physicians who treat venous disease. Co-chaired by Nicos Labropoulos and Antonios Gasparis, the symposium featured renowned faculty who covered in great depth the primary topic areas of evaluation and management of venous disease. Optional workshops provided attendees with valuable hands-on experience in treating superficial and deep pathology, ultrasound examination, wound care and compression.

Presentations from experts on various aspects of venous disease provided cutting-edge data and discussions of: chronic venous obstruction, deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, and superficial vein disease. Each session featured a live vascular examination and interactive faculty/attendee discussion. The learning opportunity created by bringing the examination room into the conference room remains a driving concept behind the symposium’s key goal of an interactive experience for all. By combining didactic lectures with practical training, the symposium gives attendees information they can immediately take back to their patients and practices.

Not only did VS provide a unique learning experience, it also allowed attendees a chance to discuss practice issues with both faculty and colleagues. VS’s legendary lively welcome reception is known to be the preeminent networking event for venous professionals.

With new treatment advances and a growing interest among practitioners, venous disease commands ever greater attention, the Venous Symposium gives vein specialists what they need: knowledge, interaction and practical advice.

For more than five years, the symposium has delivered essential education and updates that provide immediate impact to both patients and practices. The 2016 meeting is certain to do the same.

Despite continued growth, Drs. Labropoulos and Gasparis stay focused on maintaining interactivity as the root of the symposium. If you haven’t experienced VS, join the growing number of physicians that consider it their go-to resource for venous education this April 14-16, 2016.
