Ahhh, Summer! In our family, it means plenty of time at Anaheim’s Angel Stadium watching our favorite team, along with the rest of the Boys of Summer that pass through Southern California this time of year. But don’t let that fool you into thinking that we’ve been on vacation … VEIN Magazine has got a great line-up!
Right off the bat, you’ll see that we’ve been hard at work keeping up on the latest and greatest in the vein world. We always try to give you a glimpse into the meetings and conferences that played out since we last published. This issue, we feature the Venous Symposium New York and the International Vein Congress. And, likewise, we tell you what’s on deck for venous education in the coming months with VIVA , AC P and VEIT Hsymposium.
It’s our pleasure to welcome Helane Fronek, MD to our editorial team. Helane provides priceless insight into how to up your game in Work Life Balance, a column dedicated to addressing the concepts of personal satisfaction within your professional life. These words of wisdom and guidance will help bring a new focus and hopefully, serve to provide perspective on interpersonal communication and relationship building within your practice.
Our Ace in the bullpen - Medical Director Steve Elias – continues to provide us with a great perspective from the mound, pitching his innovative ideas and thoughts to help VEIN Magazine rise up the rankings. Look for Elias’ Educational column on The Simulation of Reality, or just flip this page to see his thoughts on The Promise of the New – we think you’ll find that he brings some serious heat – and we’re proud to have him on our team.
Some of the heavy hitters in this issue include our Featured Doctor segment on Robert McLafferty, MD , the Vendor Roundtable on EMR s, Compression Therapy and Sports, the American Venous Registry IVC Filter Module, Product Highlights, Body Mass Index and Vascular Disease Study, and Standards of Care in Venous Ulcer Wounds, just to name a few.
Providing several innings of good information, VEIN Magazine touches on hot topics such as advancements in training, avoiding unwanted social media risks, laser fiber comparisons, and the newest in products and news to help bring you up to date.
So, no matter if you’re a seasoned veteran of the vein game or you’re a rookie just coming up to bat, VEIN Magazine has you covered. Grab some peanuts and a beer, keep your eye on the ball and leave the rest to us!
Cheers!
