There is no contraindication to doing sclerotherapy while on blood pressure medications. You should notify your physician of the meds before starting.

Sclerotherapy solutions in general are very safe. They have very limited side effects and risks. There are typically no big concerns with solutions and most daily medications including high blood pressure medications. Minocycline (an antibiotic) should be avoided due to increased risk of pigmentation problems and if you are on blood thinner you should consult with the doctor performing the sclerotherapy and discuss the reason for the blood thinners. The judgment to use a sclerossant should be made by your vein specialist on an individual basis.

Usually blood pressure medications are fine with sclerotherapy. Minocycline (an antibiotic) should be avoided due to increased risk of pigmentation. You should discuss your medical history with your vein doctor in order to best understand the risks vs. benefits. For example, if you have a history of chest pain, the stress of needle pokes may be enough to make you reconsider treatment.

Blood pressure medications are OK, blood thinners may be a problem ask your MD before the procedure.

Sclero or YAG laser. Both similar. Avoid asprin and NSAIDs like ibuprofen for a week before and a few days after. BP meds should be no problem.

Blood pressure medications are fine. You just want to avoid blood thinners (aspirin) for about ten days before sclerotherapy. If you are on any other blood thinners like Coumadin or Warfarin, you should discuss this with your doctor.
