Your legs wil actually look worse for 2 to 3 weeks after the procedure because of bruising and some swelling. After that time they should improve. If you have problems after 3 weeks then you should follow up with your treating physician.

unlikely, although some pigmentation over a very superficially treated vein may occur this is unlikely, and usually resolves over time anyway.

EVLT helps get rid of the large varicose trunks which improves venous circulation and helps get rid of venous symptoms but is not designed to improve spider veins. It is normal to get some bruising and temporary inflammation along the trunk that's being closed.

Not usually if you are referring to the bulging veins, as the EVLT is used to cut off the source of these bulging veins. Some people do get darkened skin, which usually fades over time.

Unless there are complications, they should not look worse. It is possible they do not look perfect and the patient has a more extensive disease and might need combination treatments with phlebectomy and/or sclerotherapy in its different forms.

Rarely, hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin) can occur. However, this is usually temporary and will usually resolve within a year.
