Can I do sitting meditation (i.e. sukhasana or burmese) after sclerotherapy?

Will sitting meditation put too much pressure on my veins after treatment, and possibly cause my varicose veins to reoccur after they heal?

Typically, there are few limitation post sclerotherapy except strenuous exercise and abdominal crunches. However, I recommend my patients wear compression hose after injections and if you are sitting in a cross legged pose which can slow circulation, I would recommend modifying the position for several days.

After the healing phase I encourage most forms of exercise, including meditation. When treated correctly varicose veins do not 'recur;' however, you may develop new varicose veins for several reasons.

I encourage my patients to get back to all normal activities as soon as possible following sclerotherapy. I have only 4 restrictions of 2'sno hot baths or hot tub for 2 days, 2 days of compression and no sun exposure for 2 weeks.
