I have a lot of redness and small veins on my nose. Is sclerotherapy the best option?
Sclerotherapy does work very well on nasal spider veins. There are also available other techniques using small needle radiofrequency as well as laser light and pulsed light.

Sometime sclerotherapy can work well for these areas. Often times, however, surface laser or RF is a good choice. A good dermatologist or phlebologist could give you a really good idea of what would work the best depending on the location and size of the vessels.

While sclerotherapy may work well for small veins, a new device called VeinWave may be a better choice. VeinWave uses a tiny needle tip to deliver heat to the vein and works very well for many small facial veins with much less pain and discoloration than sclerotherapy. Another option is IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) which can be painful, more expensive and takes several treatments but is able to treat other skin changes as well as the veins.

Thanks for the inquiry. You should make an appointment to determine the best way to approach this. Maybe a combination of cosmetic laser and sclero would help.

Laser therapy is usually the best way to treat spider veins on the face.

We would use our IPL machine, intense pulsed light.

I would suggest IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) rather than sclerotherapy.

No, laser or Veinwave treatment would be most effective

Yes there are treatments for these veins including sclerotherapy, laser, and the Veinwave. They all appear to be effective. Not all vein physicians provide these services however, check with your provider, or a plastic surgeon, or dermatologist.

Sclerotherapy Is not used in the nose or in the face as these veins may drain to the brain. A laser is a better option.

I would recommend the "veinwave" procedure which utilizes a small insulated needle to heat up and destroy the tiny veins.
