Yes, certainly you can wear your hose if you have a bruise on your leg. In fact, the compression may help the area in question feel better because the superficial tissue is supported by the hose.

Yes, you can. The compression stockings actually may help to decrease the degree and duration of the bruising.

If you have a small bruise it should not be a problem to wear compression stockings. I would recommend getting some Arnica cream and gently massaging it into the area several times a day to speed up healing. However, if you have a large bruise that is raised and hard, or have a hematoma, you should stop wearing the hose and see your primary care physician.

Yes, you can wear compression stockings to speed up healing. However, if you find that the stockings irritate the injured area, I would discontinue their use. My guess would be that the stockings should help rather than hurt.

Yes, unless the bruise is so extensive that it is causing abnormally increased pressure on surrounding structures (compartment syndrome). Most run-of-the-mill bruises should cause no problem with stocking use.

My vascular surgeon did an ultrasound and prescribed endovenous laser ablation. She also suggested that I wear compression stockings after the procedure. However, due to severe psoriasis and eczema on my feet, I cannot wear full-coverage stockings that cover them. They must always be in wet dressings, but cannot be fully covered. Would footless compression stockings be just as effective as full-coverage hose following the procedure?
