Can Pelvic Congestion Syndrome cause hip pain and or nausea?

I have low and mid back pain along with nausea. Can this be attributed to Pelvic Congestion Syndrome?

I don't think those symptoms are attributable to pelvic congestion syndrome.

It is possible and certainly warrants a more detailed history from a physician who specializes in pelvic congestion syndrome and an examination with ultrasound Doppler. This is a good test to start the evaluation process before CT vengram, MR venogram or tilt table invasive venography is ordered.

The symptoms associated with this pelvic congestion styndrom is usually dull and aching. It is often felt in the lower abdomen and lower back. The pain often increases following intercourse, menstrual periods, end of day, or with pregnancy . Other symptoms include can include irritable bladder, varicose veins in the pelvic region, abnormal menstrual bleeding, or discharge. Nausea is not common. Consulting your ob/gyn and an interventional radiologist could be helpful.

High venous pressures in the pelvic veins due to ovarian vein reflux or narrowig of the iliac veins can cause low back, pelvic or hip pain, but I have not observed an association with nausea.
