Can smoking and drinking the night before a laser vein treatment affect my results?

I had a laser vein treatment today. The night before the procedure I could not sleep. I had 1 beer and 4 cigarettes. Over the weekend, I also had a few drinks. Will this negatively affect my results? Thank you.

Drinking and smoking as you described should not affect a venous closure result, but could certainly over time affect your overall health and potentially cause serious medical conditions.

Smoking and drinking should not affect your surgery results. However, as you know, smoking is not healthy for you.

While a drink and a smoke just before surgery won't affect the outcome directly, regular alcohol consumption can increase post-operative discomfort and bruising. Smoking, as we all know, negatively affects all of our systems, decreases oxygenation, healing, etc. It is best to quit smoking post-op, and hopefully you will not start again. New legs, new beginning!

No, smoking and drinking will not affect the results your laser vein treatment. However, if you continue smoking and drinking you will have more serious problems than varicose veins.

Smoking and drinking probably won't affect the success of your vein treatment, but it could increase the risk of complications. Try to be more careful in the future.

Smoking and drinking are probably not good ideas after laser vein treatment, but I don't think it's worth worrying about.

Smoking and drinking, in general, are not good for your health. That said, they should not change the results of the procedure.
