Do I have pelvic congestion syndrome?

I am a 31 year old with irritable bowel syndrome. On average, I take 20 minutes in the bathroom. At age 25 I had baby and at the end of the pregnancy, I felt pressure inside my canal every time I went to the bathroom. The pain was intensely painful during childbirth. Four years after giving birth, I still have tons of pressure inside my canal and cervix, also during the first 3 days of my period.

Very hard to say if this is related to PCS. A CT venogram would answer the question.

You need to see your OB/GYN. PCS is characterized by pelvic pressure, pain with intercourse and varicose veins around the vagina and buttock area.

You should schedule a pelvic ultrasound with a physician accredited by the American College of Phlebology. That would be the first step you would need to take. Usually interventional radiologists would be the treating physician if you decide to have treatment.
