No, just the leg the procedure was done on.

No, as long as you are ambulating and back to routine activities.

It depends on what treatment is done. If you share more information, I could help answer your question more completely.

No, you do not have to wear compression hose on both legs if the closure procedure or injection sclerotherapy was only performed on one leg. The only 3 reasons to wear hose on both legs that I can think of are: 1. If they are panty hose, 2. If you would like to look symmetric in your dress, and 3. If you have untreated and symptomatic disease in the other leg.

If you are talking about vein procedures, we normally recommend just on the treated leg. However, if you have venous issues on the untreated leg it would be advisable to wear them on both legs.

Most patients with venous insufficiency would be better off if they would wear support hose on a lifelong basis. Gravity is not likely to change much during our lifetimes and its effects on human soft tissue add up over the years. Support hose partially limit the effects of gravity upon our lower extremity veins.

No, you do not. Sometimes wearing stockings on both legs may just be more comfortable.

However, due to severe psoriasis and eczema on my feet, I cannot wear full-coverage stockings that cover them. They must always be in wet dressings, but cannot be fully covered. Would footless compression stockings be just as effective as full-coverage hose following the procedure?
