Does having EVLT for leg veins make dorsal superficial foot veins disappear as well?

Just wondering about this, since the greater and lesser saphenous veins seem to receive the superficial foot veins on top of the foot, and I have enlarged ones.Thank you!

Generally these will diminish in size after these procedures. Since they are superficial however, they are usually still visible, but just smaller and less prominent.

It depends if the small or great saphenous veins are insufficient. If
severely insufficiency then the dorsal foot veins may become less "engorged"
but will likely still be present and noticeable.

If you have significant reflux they should get a little smaller as the standing pressure decreases.

Many times, in the presence of saphenous insufficiency (valve failure in the long or short saphenous veins) there can be pressure (venous hypertension) in the lower legs especially the foot. In many people this is reduced after laser ablation of the affected saphenous vein. In some people enlarged veins on the top (dorsum) of the foot can be quite normal.

Excellent question but the answer is no. EVLT usually ends at the knee for the greater saphenous vein and at the mid calf for the smaller saphenous vein.. There are still collateral veins feeding the arch of the foot. These dorsal veins can be treated by sclerotherapy or microphlebectomies.
