Does no compression hose after small microphlebectomy sound right?

I have 2 small reticular veins that are varicose. My doctor is going to do a Microphlebectomy. He said due to the size it won't even be necessary to wear compression hose after. He also stated there is no chance of DVT. Does this sound accurate?

Yes, for smaller veins you do not have to wear compression stockings.

It depends on the specific, but it is possible.

This sounds about right. Some bit of compression may help to limit the bruising that patients sometimes exhibit - even after the most minor of phlebectomies, but the chance of DVT is quite small.

Unlikely to have DVT but I still usually recommend stockings.

From what you have said, it sounds accurate. You may have an ace bandage initially. Your risk for DVT would be extremely low.

Probably he is right. The chance of DVT is very remote. Compression after this is a judgement call. I usually recommend 48 hours.

Post procedure recommendations will vary from one physician to another. I agree that the chance of DVT is extremely low.
