How long after treatment can I wait to have a second treatment?

My doctor told me not to wait longer than 5 weeks. I am going on vaction during that time and want to relax in the sun. Can I wait longer between treatments?

We treat patients at 4 week intervals. We typically explain to our patients ahead of time to plan so that the follow up treatment can be done in that time frame. The initial treatment can do a lot of "damage" to the veins but the second treatment will typically produce the most results. We also try to have our patients avoid sun exposure during a series of treatments to limit the possibility of pigmentation.
Mostly we recommend our patients plan ahead for early fall start of a series of treatment.

I have no particular limitations on time. Although your case may be different, I'm not aware of other reason why one can't wait.

Five weeks seems very reasonable. No problem on waiting longer.

Treatments between sclerotherapy vary from 3 weeks to 6 months. There are no specific rules but only recommendations. I usually recommend 3 to 6 weeks between the first 2 treatments then 3 months for the 3rd treatment.
