How long before you see the results with ELA?

Had the procedure Friday. Removed the stocking Monday evening. I still see bumps in my leg. Will that get better?

Usually at a month what you see is what you get if you did not have phlebectomies.

It may weeks to months to see the full effect of the closure of the vein on
the bulging varicose veins. I would continue with wearing your hose to
maximize the resolution of the varicose veins. As many as 50% of patients
whose initial presentation included varicose veins and had the closure
procedure will need additional work to remove the deflated yet still present
varicose veins. The reason I perform these procedures at later date is
that the 50% of patients will not require a future procedure, thus we are
avoiding unnecessary procedures on this group. Additionally, the scope of
the procedure one month after the underlying vein has been sealed is often
much less (smaller incisions and fewer of them and less bruising and
discomfort).

Without phlebectomy it may take up to a year to see full results.

If the larger veins were not removed during the procedure, these
lumos can be there for many months. Bruising and some swelling will go
away sooner.

Following EVLT, there is at least a 2 week healing period and the lumps and bumps may take up to 6 weeks to resolve. You tend to look worse before you will look better. Hardness is due to the lasered areas constricting and, if microphlebectomies were done, it could also be due to hematoma formation under these sites. All will get better with time.
