How long does it usually take for the spider veins to go away?

I had injections done and it doesn't look like any of the spiders went away. This was a month ago. When can I expect to see a change. Also, is it safe to have this done while on Accutane?

It usually takes about a month, however it can take longer. If they are dark blue-black they may have trapped blood which may require them to be drained.

You should see some results within 2-4 weeks. Only a percentage of the
spiders will resolve and this depends in part on the strength of the
solution used. All factors need to be considered.

Sclerotherapy treatments are ok while on Accutane but absolutely no light based (laser) treatments.
Effective sclerotherapy can take 3-5 treatments to resolve. However, the reticular or "feeder" veins should also be treated for maximum effect. If these are not treated, areas can reopen. That is why we see many patients coming from other centers where only topical spider veins are treated and pts say these come back quickly.

6-8 weeks. Staining can last a bit longer, ask your provider.
Not aware of reactions with accuane, check with you provider as well.

Spider vein treatment with sclerotherapy is a process and it is impossible to eradicate all veins with one treatment. Most patients take 3 to 5 cycles of treatments spaced 6 weeks apart to clear the veins and then some will still not resolve and some will always return. Think of spider vein treatment in terms of long term maintenance. Accutane is not a contraindication to sclerotherapy. See a vein specialist.
