Following a sclerotherapy you should be able to return to routine activities immediately. You should avoid sun exposure for at least one week. Any bruising may take 4 to 6 weeks to resolve and if staining occurs this could take up to one year to resolve. To clear your veins may require multiple sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart.

There really no significant recovery time from sclerotherapy. If your question is when will all the marks or bruising from the injections resolve, the answer is about 6-8 weeks. Occasionally pigmentation, when it occurs, can even take longer to completely resolve.

In terms of functional recovery, such as the ability to continue on with your life there usually is no down time at all. You just put on your compression stockings and you are back to your your normal routines.
The next question you might ask is when will is see results?
This depends on the amount and strength of solution used, the types of veins being treated, your skin type, your genetic propensity to develop hyper pigmentation. You get the drift. It is different for everyone. The rule of thumb is about 6 weeks between large treatments and it could take many months before all of the pigment changes clear and everything fully heals.

You can resume normal activities immediately but it is recommended that you stay out of the sun at least a couple of weeks. As for how long it will take for the veins to resolve, that varies significantly and frequently you need multiple treatments (separated by at least 4 weeks).

Surface sclerotherapy takes just a week or so to recover from. But large vein sclerotherapy takes longer. Typically, patients can resume normal activities within 1 to 2 weeks after either treatment.

There really is no "recovery time" for Sclerotherapy.? What takes time is for the veins to resolve and your legs to look like you want them to look.
If that is what you are asking about, the "recovery" may take as long as three months. This is due to the fact that most patients need several sessions of Sclerotherapy before they achieve their desired results.

There isn't a recovery time after sclerotherapy. All patients walk out of the office and can resume their normal activities immediately. I recommend that compression hose are worn for one week during waking hours and avoid heavy lifting. Patients should avoid sun exposure until all bruising and discoloration resolves which may take 4 to 6 weeks.

Sclerotherapy for spider veins does not have a "recovery" time. You are able to do any activity immediately after the procedure. However your legs might not look "nice" for few weeks until the inflammation subsides. The final result might not be apparent until 2-3 months have passed.

We require patients to avoid vigorous physical activity for 2 weeks. Walking and normal daily activities can be resumed immediately. Your legs will look worse before they start looking better. Many patients need multiple weeks for the bruising and discoloration to fade. We ask patients to wait at least 6 weeks in between treatments.
