There are basically two different ways to "close down" veins using heat. One is laser and the other is radiofrequency ablation. Both have excellent results. Sclerotherapy can also be used to close down veins but typically requires multiple treatments.

They are pretty different treatments. Sclerotherapy can be used to treat many different types of veins and different locations. ELVeS (Endo Laser Vein System) is used primarily to treat refluxing saphenous veins in the legs.
