Is intense pulse light therapy for veins safe when pregnant?

I just found out that I am pregnant and have an IPL treatment coming up that I scheduled before I knew I was pregnant. The IPL is for broken capillaries/spider veins on my cheeks. Is it safe to have when pregnant or should I wait?

All licensed practitioners and doctors will not perform any type of laser or light therapy along with injectables. While there are no studies, why take any risks.

I am not aware of any known or suspected complications related to IPL therapy and pregnancy but if you have any doubt then it is always safest to wait.

It probably is safe, but I would suggest holding off on any elective
procedures during pregnancy.
