Is it normal to be bloated and puffy on my whole body after ambulatory phlebectomy?

I had phlebectomy of the left thigh 4 days ago. I have no pain there, but I am bloated and puffy over my whole body. Is this normal?

There may be swelling post phlebectomy in the areas where tumescent anesthesia was given, but there should not be swelling over the entire body. Follow up with your treating physician.

Did you have a follow up with your physician? That would not be treatment related. Depends on the kinds of drugs that you took for the procedure. To many variables to tell from the question.

No, it is not normal and I can't imagine how it could be related to your vein treatment. You should see your doctor and have it checked.

I experienced severe bruising and intense pain 8 days after ambulatory phlebectomy and EVLT. I could not even touch the area from my right groin all the way down to my knee. I followed all of the doctor's orders given post-op. Upon a recheck yesterday, no infection was found, but during the ultrasound the pain upon the docs pressing the area was excruciating and I felt a burning sensation go all the way up leg. What's going on? Could I have a hematoma?
