Is it ok to use moisturizing CREAM/LOTIONS containing Vitamin E on areas treated with Sclerotherapy?

Is it ok to use moisturizing creams or lotions containing Vitamin E on areas treated with Sclerotherapy? I've heard that you shouldn't take vitamin E supplements/internally during sclerotherapy, but I'm unsure about externalproducts..

On this point it would be best to consult with your doctor. However, most phlebologists would prefer that no lotions or oils be applied to the skin on the day of treatment. As for after the treatment, there are no such restrictions.

It is ok to use creams or moisturizing lotions containing Vit E on sclerotherapy treated areas. However, you should wait about 48 hours before applying so that the treated areas seal.

I believe it is prudent to avoid creams and lotions following sclerotherapy.

No firm Data on this that I'm aware of but I would avoid these items at the time of sclerotherapy, and for a couple of weeks thereafter.

It is OK to use topical vitamin E cream following sclerotherapy. I also recommend topical aloe, or if there is bruising, Dermaka cream will help.

Vitamin E taken internally BEFORE sclerotherapy may may make you more likely to bruise, but I am not aware of any problems associated with taking it afterwards, specially in the topical form.
