My thighs are basically covered in a network of spider veins. If I choose sclerotherapy, will each tiny vein have to be injected? Are there any other options?
Before starting any treatment I would recommend a venous reflux exam. This would give useful information to plan your treatment especially if there is significant reflux. Sclerotherapy is the best treatment for spider veins and, often times, one injection will cover multiple veins. Other options are light sources and Veinwave but these are inferior to sclerotherapy.

Sclerotherapy remains the gold standard of treatment for spider veins. No, each vein does not have to be injected. You should be seen by an experienced vein center who can discuss with you the various options, and what works best.

Sclerotherapy is usually the most efficient way of treating spider veins especially when extensive. Laser treatment hurts more and cannot be utilized for the "feeding veins" (reticular veins). For the tiniest of spider veins, the veinwave device is helpful.

In my opinion sclerotherapy is the best treatment for a large amount of spider veins of the legs. Not every spider vein will need to be injected.

That would be your best option. The doctor will start injecting at a spot where the solution should spread most effectively. You would be surprised at how far (how many veins) that solution will travel from one injection site.

Yes.? Sclerotherapy is usually the best approach for treatment of spider veins.? There are occassionally veins that are too small, and then must be treated with IPL or surface laser, but in general, scleroterapy is the best and safest approach.

Generally yes this is the best treatmentat this time. Other options are the Veinwave and cutaneous lasers. Usually, each injection will treat a significant patch of veins and the size of this patch depends on the veins treated.

Sclerotherapy and laser are both options. Usually one injection can treat multiple veins depending on inter connections. Meet with an expert injector to discuss.
