Is sclerotherapy safe for those with Celiac Disease?

Does the sclerotherapy solution contain any gluten? I want to avoid any bad reactions.

I am not aware of any reason why a person with Celiac disease needs to avoid sclerotherapy. The solutions are very safe, including one popular choice that is just salt water.? These are all cleared very quickly.
But ultimately that is something that needs to be discussed with the physician providing treatment.

It should be safe but you should confirm with your treating physician.

Sclerotherapy can be safe for patients with Celiac disease. You would need a comprehensive physical and history prior to treatment.

I have no idea for sure, however the drug injected is metabolized by the liver, I believe, and as long you live is functioning normally I do not think it would be a problem.
I don't think there is any data out there about this however. Check with your MD who is performing the injections.
