Is thera any chance of getting traveling blood clots after this procedure??

Is there any chance of getting traveling blood clots after this procedure??

I had this procedure done in March. My leg feels better, even though I know I'm still healing. But the past couple of days I haven't been feeling well....tired, and my chest is achy..just afraid the pain may be the result of a traveling clot..

You didn't mention which treatment. If it was Laser ablation your leg should feel better. If you area concerned about a deep vein blood clot you should go to the ER for an ultrasound immediately.

There is a less than 1% chance of developing DVT following EVLT, and probably even less in experienced hands. However, with your new onset of symptoms, it would be prudent to have a venous ultrasound to rule out DVT and subsequent traveling of the clot to your lungs which we call a pulmonary embolism which occurs occasionally after a DVT .

There is approximately 1% risk of DVT (clot in the deep vein) which can cause a pulmonary embolus (travel to the lungs)
