I've been diagnosed with meralgia paresthetica, could chronic DVT cause this?

A venous return exam discovered that I have two chronic DVTs in my common femoral and iliac veins (right side). I have had many cath's and, more recently, stenting of left common iliac vein. Now, I've been dx with meralgia paresthetica on the right side. Could chronic dvt cause this?

I don't think meralgia paresthetica has anything to do with venous disease.

Unless I saw imaging of the area I wouldn't believe so. The nerve that causes the numbness in the thigh is more lateral and really isn't near the site of DVT. It is usually the placement of the nerve and ligaments that make the site numb.

Chronic and recurrent DVT should not be a cause of this. The problem is due to irritation of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve of the thigh which is not in the vicinity of veins that are involved with DVT.

I understand what venous insufficiency is, but I'm having a bit of trouble placing the word "delay". Also, are there any studious or statistics regarding patients in their twenties?
