No compression hose after small microphlebectomy

I have 2 small reticular veins that are varicose. My doctor is going to do a Microphlebectomy. He said due to the size it won't even be necessary to wear compression hose after. He also stated there is no chance of DVT. Does this sound accurate?

Reticular veins are by definition not varicose and vice versa. Basically his comments are correct.

The likelihood of DVT after microphlebectomy is exceedingly rare.

I basically agree. The chance of DVT is extremely low but not zero. Compression stockings for this is a matter of preference. 48 hours of compression may help to decrease any bruising but probably is unnecessary.
