Tendon pain after ablation.

I've had ELA on both legs. I have some tendon pain on going up from my feet to the insides of each leg. Is this a side effect?

It may be related to ELA if the point of entry to the leg is low, however, time should heal it.

While it sounds unusual post EVLA, it would be interesting to know how low down on your legs the access site are? Most ablations are done in the knee area (above, below or at) and would not cause that discomfort. We recommend out patients massage gently with Arnica cream post procedure which alleviates localized discomfort and inflammation. However, you should contact your physician and have him check your legs with ultrasound and physical examination. It may be unrelated to the procedures.

Not tendon pain that I know of.
It could be a tender saphenous vein in this location though. See your provider.

It might be due to the healing/shrinking of the treated vein.

What you are describing does not appear to be tendon related since there are no tendons in that area. The great saphenous vein runs from the ankle to the groin along the inside of the leg and you probably are feeling the constriction of the vein which occurs after the closure procedure. Ibuprofen and warm compresses to the area should help and follow up with your treating physician.
