I treat under eye veins by two methods. For larger veins, I use sclerotherapy. For smaller veins, I use microneedle radiofrequency, and sometimes I use a combination of both.

A 1064 nm laser with chill tip or possible sclerotherapy are best choices. Bulging veins can be removed by phlebectomy.

If you are discussing blue veins, this is an advanced treatment to be undertaken by an experienced practitioner in a medical office. We use a 1064 Yag Cutera laser with good results. Anytime you treat larger veins, there is a chance of slight swelling of the veins, and this can cause them to look larger. Bruising is rare but can happen. For finer, small spider veins, this same laser can be used but also a 940 diode laser such as Dornier Flexipulse. Again, there is some redness expected which passes quickly but bruising can occur. For both lasers this is typically minor and can be covered successfully with makeup. Of course, good eye protection must be worn and we use some ice post-treatment.
