What is the relationship between high blood pressure and endovenous laser ablation?

My blood pressure was normal until the endovenous procedure. Immediately following the procedure my blood pressure became very elevatated. My blood pressure has remained high ever since. Now taking high blood pressure medication since this procedure.

If you had a normal procedure and post treatment ultrasound examinations this is most likely unrelated and may be coincidental. It may have been creeping up prior to this.

Your Bp may rise due to nerves when having the procedure. Epinephrine is used which may raise it as well but this is usually a short term issue.

There is no direct relationship between endogenous ablation and elevation of blood pressure. Immediately following the procedure the BP may rise as a result of the epinephrine used in the tumescent anesthesia and the stress of the procedure but prolonged elevated BP is abnormal and should be evaluated by your MD.

I do not believe that there is any relation between the two medical problems. You might not have been well aware that you blood pressure was elevated before. I have never seen hypertension as a direct consequence of these procedures.
